AFRICA
AFRICA DAY
On this day, in 1963, the Organization of African Unity – now known as the African Union was established.
As we commemorate this day, we reflect on the accomplishments of people across the African continent, and on the challenges they still endure.
The organization was transformed into the African Union on July 9th 2002 in Durban, South Africa, but the holiday continues to be celebrated on May 25th.
Africa Day is celebrated every year on May 25th. It is an opportunity to celebrate African diversity and success, and to highlight the cultural and economic potential that exists on the African continent.
This year's theme, focused on the importance of addressing malnutrition and food insecurity. Across the continent, Africa faces stark development challenges, including food insecurity and increasing malnutrition.
Our project in west Africa Senegal
We will design West Africa's largest Master Plan. With this new award, we face a new challenge after being selected as the winning project for the construction.
With the Project of Langue de Barbarie Natural Park, located in Saint Louis (Senegal) - resort with private villas and several areas connected to each other, such as hotels, a shopping centre, squares, offices and a marina with sailing school. All immersed in 3.5 million square meters.
The project is conceived in such a way that the buildings have a direct connection with the beach and the Senegal River, living in direct contact with nature. An idyllic space where you can spend moments of quality and relaxation.
The complex will support and facilitate the integration of about 3,000 people, who will move to this area to work in the oil sector. The development is funded by a group of French companies with the approval of the local government. The cost of the operation will be about 700 million euros.
In this way, we will help enhance Africa’s culture and be part of another accomplishment that for sure will transform the West Side.
